Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

At the end of this CU, students should be able to define psychometrics and relate this area to psychological assessment; understand the fundamentals and challenges of measuring psychological constructs; characterize different psychological measures; know the steps construction of a psychometric instrument; collect and recognize evidence regarding the item quality, reliability and validity of a psychometric instrument; understand the process of presenting and interpreting the results of a psychometric instrument; identify the stages and challenges of translation and adaptation of psychometric instruments; know and apply technical and ethical principles in the selection, administration and use of the results of a psychometric instrument.
