Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
  • To characterize the human development from adolescence to advanced adulthood.
  • To describe and distinguish the main explanatory theories of human development.
  • Recognize the developmental tasks at each stage of the life cycle.
  • Enhance the concept of development, emphasizing the multidisciplinary crossroads in the study of individual ontogenesis.
  • Understand models of adaptation, life events, quality of life and subjective well-being, from adolescence to the life cycle of mourning.
  • Distinguish chronological aging and biological aging.
  • Recognize the cognitive implications of aging characteristics perceptive, mnesic, and personality.
  • To characterize and distinguish the explanatory models of the evolution of intelligence and personality with age.
  • To identify determinants of aging and the influence of extrinsic factors.
  • Recognize the factors promoters of successful aging.
  • Exercising the clinical interview in steps related to adulthood.

  1. The adolescence and the Myth of Eternity.
  2. The adulthood and their psycho-relational dynamics.
  3. The paradigm of family.
  4. The middle-age: crisis, change or stability?
  5. The old age: myths in change
  6. About death and die: the farewell of life.
  7. The clinical interview.
