Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
To understand the psychological concept of personality, the various methods of study of personality and major theories of personality development in a comprehensive perspective, allowing students to:
- Recognize the conceptual matrix of personality.
- Know the evolution of the concept of personality.
- Know and critically analyse the various methodologies used in the study of personality.
- Know and be able to criticize the various personality theories.
Syllabus:
- The different perspectives on personality concept, from the past to the present.
- The determinants of personality.
- The application of this concept throughout life cycle and how each individual differs based on this construct.
- The various explanatory models of personality.
