Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
The main purpose of the Research Methodology course is to develop the student critical and analytic scientific thinking and train them in the method of scientific work.
This course is design to deliver different research methodologies to the students. In that way students will develop skills to implement methodologies to solve new problems. Statistical analysis of obtained data is also encouraged.
Thus, it is intended that the student acquire skills that involves:
- Insights regarding science. Knowledge about scientific spirit and the experimental method which science is based.
- Analysis, synthesis and integration of information.
- Critical analysis.
- Reasoning, interpreting and intervening on the spirit solving new problems.
- Synthesis and the writing of manuscripts according to the scientific principles in general and the APA rules in particular.

- The scientific methodologies.
- Building the state of art: research search engines, scientific databases and depositories.
- Research in physical libraries.
- How to write a scientific manuscript.
- How to use EndNote and Mendeley to create a Reference Bibliography.
- Preparation of a scientific oral presentation.
- Types of scientific papers.
- APA rules.
- Empirical paper structure.
- The research planning.
- Investigation question, study hypothesis and studies types.
