Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
This curricular unit aims are: to develop theoretical and practical knowledge of Descriptive and Inferential Univariate Statistics, with applications to Psychology using a software package for statistical analysis (SPSS).
Specific objectives of the CU are the following:
- To describe and represent data sets, using appropriate parameters and methods of data organization.
- To estimate populational parameters based on sample data.
- To identify and validate underlying assumptions of univariate methods of data analysis.
- To apply univariate methods of data analysis using the software package SPSS.
Syllabus:
- Introduction.
- Random variables e scale.
- Descriptive statistics.
- Random variables.
- Estimation of confidence intervals for mean, proportion and variance.
- Hypothesis testing.
- Association between random variables.
