Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
- Acquisition of knowledge about the epistemological frameworks that underlie the more general social sciences.
- Acquisition of knowledge about the historical processes that have enabled the development of conditions and the institutionalization of the social sciences, as well as the processes of knowledge production and objectives common to these contemporary science and its differentiation in the various scientific disciplines.
- Develop critical thinking and encourage interdisciplinarity on the diversity of subjects and the different scientific approaches, allowing a facilitated dialogue between the social sciences.
- Ability to stimulate analytical thinking in relation to the themes presented, based on a survey of issues and debates, combined with the mobilization of theoretical frameworks and models of analysis applied to the study of concrete social realities.
