Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

Acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge in order to provide students the necessary skills for effective and efficient intervention in the Criminalistics field, namely the ability to distinguish questions of authorship and authenticity of fraudulently obtained scripts.
In addition to the systematic and updated knowledge corpus of the discipline’s theory, dominating its main theoretical aspects, this curricular unit aims to also provide the necessary practical tools to perform expert analyses in the forensic sciences area.
The students are thus provided with the theoretical and practical knowledge that, in a later stage, allow the development of specific skills for exercising as experts in identification and forgery written comparison.

  1. Identification and comparison of reports written in the context of forensic sciences.
  2. The science of writing in a multidisciplinary perspective.
  3. Writing history.
  4. Graphology.
  5. Graphonomics.
  6. Calligraphic Examinations.
  7. Authorship and authenticity.
  8. Graphometry.
  9. Writing comparison in an electronic era.
  10. The role of the writing identification and comparison expert in court.
