Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
The course aims to enable the student, with the basic knowledge of general immunology and its application to the field of Dentistry. It is intended to equip the student with a critical spirit so as to combine the knowledge of the basic disciplines already assimilated with those of immunology to understand the role that it plays in homeostasis and health; by interconnecting the various immunological mechanisms, resulting from the dynamic interdependence between molecules, cells and organs.
Finally, using this knowledge the student should have contact with examples of immunological imbalances and pathologies resulting therefrom; this will allow you to understand the applicability of a theoretical subject, often addressed at the molecular level.
By integrating the knowledge acquired through active teaching-learning methodologies, students are expected to have a range of skills that enable them to pursue their profession autonomously or integrated into multidisciplinary teams in parity of circumstances with other professionals at the same level of training.
