Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

• Recognize the legal, ethical developmental specificities of forensic psychological assessment of victims of violence;
• Characterize, administer and interpret forensic psychological assessment instruments for victims;
• Understand how instruments can be selected and combined into integrated assessment protocols directed at specific themes, to respond to forensic requests;
• Develop skills in planning, implementation and analysis of assessment protocols according to the court requests.

Syllabus:

1. Introduction to forensic psychological assessment of victims
   legal framework
   specificities regarding the assessment of victims
   ethical principles
2. Psychological assessment instruments for victims of violence
3. Assessment protocols of victims
   Assessment in children and adolescent’s victimization: interparental violence, child maltreatment and sexual abuse
   Assessment in adult victimization: intimate partner violence and stalking, sexual assault, violence and neglect of the elderly
4. Case studies
