Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
This curricular unit intends to allow students to know in a more broad scope the main pedagogic approaches and their intervention techniques where children and young people show more difficulties in the learning process. We also stimulate the students to learn more about inquiring and diagnosing about the most common issues that might interfere with the learning process and with the individual learning style. As final objective this curricular unit expects the student to integrate this knowledge in their professional practice as Psychologists.
Syllabus:
- Genetic and Environmental bases associated with the children´s development and learning processes.
- Evaluation diagnosis and intervention in Educational Psychology according to the main pedagogic approaches.
- Alternative pedagogic approaches and their efficacy.
- Intervention in children at risk.
- Vocational Orientation and competence training as essential keys in Educational Psychology.
