Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
- Understand the field of study and goals of Social Psychology and the contribution it can provide to the development of Psychology as a science of human behavior.
- Identify the research methodologies used in Social Psychology, recognizing its scientific nature and knowing how to interpret and critically analyze classic and contemporary studies that comprise the literature in this area.
- Know the central themes in Social Psychology, deepening the domains of attitudes and social influence and introducing the themes of social perceptions, social interaction and intergroup relations, which interested students will have the opportunity to develop in the elective Social Cognition unit.
- Understand how Social Psychology knowledge can be used in practical contexts and applied areas of psychology. Students acquire skills of reasoning and scientific argumentation and interpersonal communication.
