Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

The objective of the CU is to provide the student with basic knowledge about the structure and function of the nervous system. The main objective is to demonstrate the importance of Neuroscience for Psychology. The student will be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities and to perform a self-learning to update the advances in this field.

Syllabus:
  1. Macroscopic and microscopic anatomy of the nervous system.
  2. The development of the nervous system.
  3. Basic concepts of electrophysiology and biochemistry of the nervous system.
  4. Neurotransmitters and neurotrophic factors.
  5. The autonomous nervous system.
  6. The neuroendocrine system.
  7. The neuromuscular junction.
