Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

This CU aims at the development and upgrading of skills related to self-knowledge and self-regulation in interacting with others in different social contexts, in particular academic and future professional contexts. To that end, this course aims to develop skills to adapt to university, transversal skills necessary to perform well in academic and professional context, scientific competence and decision-making in the management of academic and professional career.

Syllabus:
  1. ADAPTATION TO UNIVERSITY
    Personal, social and academic factors.
    Self-regulation of the learning process.
    Cognitive and metacognitive strategies of study and learning.
  2. TRANSVERSAL SKILLS IN HIGHER EDUCATION AND THE PROFESSIONAL CONTEXT
    Work organization and time management.
    Communication and interpersonal relations.
    Critical thinking and argumentation.
    Creativity and group dynamics.
  3. SCIENTIFIC SKILLS
    Submission and presentation of oral communications and/or posters at scientific meetings.
    Submission of papers for publication.
    Organization of scientific events.
  4. MANAGEMENT OF ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL CAREER
    Self-knowledge, goal setting and career decisions.
    Proactivity in the search for and creation of opportunities.
