Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
At the end of the course unit, students should be able to:
- Identify the main differences between the explanatory models of health and disease;
- Characterize the main theoretical models in the scope of theories of Health Psychosociology;
- Recognize the importance of the interpersonal relationship in the adherence to the salutogenic behaviors;
- Demonstrate communication and conflict management skills, when applied to the daily practice of the Physiotherapist;
- Recognize the ideologies and practices of education / communication for health, as well as demonstrate critical reflexivity about the multiple logics in which it is organized;
- Explain the organizational attitudes of job satisfaction and organizational commitment, resulting from teamwork, from case studies;
- Recognize the importance of the body as a culture of consumption and a social stigma;
- Contribute to the quality of services provided by Physiotherapists through the promotion of well-being and quality of life of health service users.
