Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

The curricular unit of Human Physiology, allow to give to the students an overview of the basics concepts of physiology (body fluid compartments, excitability, intercellular communication), which will enable them to understand and study the functioning of each organ, systems and their mechanisms regulation (neural and hormonal).

After attending the course, students should be able to:

  • Know and understand the terminology used; Apply basic knowledge of Physiology;
  • Apply basic knowledge of Physiology;
  • Know and describe the structure and composition of skeletal muscle;
  • Know the mechanisms involved in muscle contraction and its mechanisms of regulation;
  • Know the physiology of bone;
  • Have an overview of the normal functioning of the human organism;
  • Have developed reasoning ability
