Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

The goals and objectives are to develop skills to deal with most of the therapeutic decisions commonly made by practicing physicians, taking into account: updated guidelines, patient clinical history, adverse effects and contraindications.

To integrate previous knowledge acquired previously in pharmacology, enabling the student to deal with complex and new problems dealing with pharmacotherapy.

To interpret and take a part in the decisions underlying medical prescriptions. Develop skills that allow following up the use of drugs and distinguishing drug-related events from spontaneous alterations in disease and major drug-drug interactions.

To make a summary and analysis of the best and most common therapeutics used in diseases most prevalent in clinical practice.
