Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
Lectures
The main objective is to form the new pharmacists in an extremely important area: the biotechnological production of pharmaceutical products through the use of multiple technology. The most recent biotechnological methods for obtaining several compounds as well as processes for the regulation of these techniques are presented. It is promoted a detailed and informed debate on the pharmaceutical perspective.
Lab practice classes
Enabling the learning of methodologies in the area of Industrial Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and promoting the development of scientific and technological capabilities. The student should be capable of organizing and planning, have the capacity to manage information (search, selection and interpretation), ability to work and learn in teamwork, have critical capacity, recognising ethical and social responsibilities. Students shall also have the ability to adapt to new situations, concern for quality, ability to relate knowledge and research capacity.
