Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
The function of the human body involves intricate and complex processes at the cellular, organ, and systems level. The objective of the curricular unit aims to present the basic concepts of physiology, functions, mechanisms of regulation of organs and systems, highlighting the complex interactions between them to ensure the proper functioning of the human body systems.
After attending the course, students should be able to:
- Know and understand the nomenclature used.
- Describe the functioning of the various organs and systems.
- Describe the mechanisms involved to maintain homeostasis.
- Understand the interactions between the various systems.
- Have critical thinking and reasoning ability that allows you to access more complex literature.
