Students who have attended the course should be able to identify/develop the various areas of activity management in any Health Unit.

Syllabus:

1. General Administration Economics and Management.
2. Development of Management and Administration thought concepts - Classical Approach, Humanistic Approach and Neo-Humanist, Integrative Approach.
3. Introduction to Health Economics - Details of the Health Care Market, Supply and Demand for Care Health, the Concept of Need for Health Care.
4. Finance and Contracts of Health Care.
5. Patient Classification Systems, Health Systems, Trends and Comparisons.
6. The National Health Service.
7. The Public Hospital Portuguese.
8. The Hospital Risk Management.
9. Health Information Systems, Procurement Function, Definition of Stock, Advantages and Disadvantages, ABC Analysis, Stocks, Economic Management, the Economic Lot.
