Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
Acquire and develop skills in pedagogical and didactic domains. So at the end of the semester, students should be able to:
- Demonstrate communication skills adapted to various professional contexts of prosthetic.
- Demonstrate knowledge, attitudes and professional behaviors that facilitate effective interaction and appropriate to the various stakeholders in health settings (e.g. health service users, relatives, colleagues and other health professionals).
- Demonstrate competences related to scientific knowledge, research, planning, communication and presentation of teamwork.
- Encourage the creation of research projects and stimulate interest in research in the field of Health Psychology.
Syllabus:
- Relational communication as a fundamental instrument of the interpersonal relationship.
- Looking at social interactions.
- Development of the psychic functions that characterize the human species.
- The importance of the face in the experience of the human being.
- The development of the life cycle and neoteny.
- The communicational paradox: Language - verbal and nonverbal.
- The basic emotions and traces on the human face.
- The smile: A universal language.
- The influence of the face on the self-image of the subjects.
- The mental representation of subjects self-image.
- The smile as a vehicle of psychic development.
- The language of silence: The smile.
- In search of the perfect smile.
- Aesthetic motivation and gender identity.
