Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
Objectives:
- Develop skills to provide nursing care to the person in a critical situation, in complex and high risk situations in health environments of greater complexity.
- Analyze the conceptual framework of Nursing for the practice of caring for the person in critical situation.
- To know the concepts of Nursing of Intensive Care, Urgency / Emergency and critical patient.
- Develop capacity in the analysis and interrelation of data for the diagnostic evaluation and respective nursing interventions.
- To know and identify the specific measures of prevention and control of infection before the person in critical situation in health environments of greater complexity and risk.
- Reveal capacity to identify and discuss specific interventions in complex care contexts, adapting the Nursing Process to the person in critical situation, in its specificity.
- Demonstrate ability to reflect critically on the specificity of the care process vis-à-vis the person in critical situation.

- The person in critical situation - concepts and conceptual framework.
- The person in urgent / emergent critical situation.
- The person in critical situation in intensive care.
