Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
- Instrumental skills: Develop the initiative and critical thinking; Collaborate with nursing staff;
- Take care of a patient as a whole, with supervision; Collaborate with nursing staff in providing care, including the terminally ill and family; Apply the nursing process, adopting the theoretical model of Virginia Henderson and CIPE.
- Interpersonal skills: Know the functioning of the team where they are; Develop observation skills, listening and relationship with patient and the team; Develop communication skills and helping relationship with patient, family and health care team; Developing scientific knowledge in nursing.
- Systemic skills: Contextualizing the model of nursing intervention for the elderly, through critical reflection on the scientific and interventions developed in this area.
Syllabus:
Internship:
The syllabus consists in mobilizing all the knowledge acquired during the 1st and 2nd year allowing all elderly needs, family and community are met. This mobilization of knowledge is developed based on continuous learning.
