Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
- Objectives: provide the theoretical and practical foundations that allow to know the methodologies of personality assessment, in order to promote the skills necessary for their selection and use.
- Skills:deeper knowledge the concept of stability of personality, linking it with its predictive potential; understand the ethical and deontological aspects associated with personality assessment; planning and conducting interview, in line with general objectives and specific assessment of personality; understand and use the different assessment tools for personality; articulate the instrument results with the data from interview and observation; integrate the data of the cognitive evaluation together with the personality assessment.
Syllabus:
Lectures:
- Theoretical foundations of personality assessment.
- Methods and techniques of personality assessment .
- Distortion of responses.
- The psychological examination report.
Clinical practical classes:
- Training in personality assessment interviews using different techniques; analysis of the relevant information to assess personality.
- Training in application, results quoting, analysis and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative results and articulation of the results, using: Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2, Sixteen Personality Factor-5 Questionnaire, Revised NEO Personality Inventory.
- Training in integrating the data of the cognitive assessment (Psychological Assessment II) together with the personality assessment.
