Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

Provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge adequate to the design, formulation, production and quality control of solutions, emulsions and suspensions, topical semi-solids, vaginal and rectal dosage forms, and the sterile products for parenteral and ocular use.

It is intended that students learn how to produce and control the quality of the dosage forms under study, and to promote:

  • the acquisition and development of research attitudes and reflection,
  • group work and, simultaneously, develop individual leadership and communication skills, as well as critical thinking.

At the end of this course students should be able to recognize the advantages and limitations of the use of the therapeutic dosage forms under study and apply the most recent scientific and technological knowledge in the maximization of their effectiveness.
