Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
The student enrolled in the first cycle of the Integrated Master's Degree in Dental Medicine should be able to guide his or her basic training towards acquiring competencies that allow him to continue his academic training, aiming at clinical practice and / or teaching and research career, linked to Dental Medicine.
- To sensitize the student to the concept of "Therapeutic Setting" and the importance of this in the context of the therapeutic relationship.
- To develop knowledge, abilities and attitudes, in a humanistic, intellectual and cultural aspect, of the future Dentists.
- Promote contact with "Situations-Type" and clinical practice, introducing the student in the medical terminology and specificities of the subareas of the Dental Medicine.
- Promoting the role of the future Dentist in Health Education.

- The Patient consultation / Care setting.
- General Dental Medicine; Sub-specialties.
