Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
- Understand the impact of Public Health in Disease Prevention, Health Promotion, and the control of new epidemics.
- Explain the importance of epidemiological surveillance within the Community.
- Identify the characteristics, advantages, disadvantages and indications of different epidemiological studies in the area of Laboratory Biomedical Sciences.
- Explain the importance of Health indicators.
- Develop skills of recognition and analysis problems including of ethical and social impact.
- Reflect on the prevention I, II, III, IV along the life cycle.
- Reflect on the role of Public Health to improve the health of individuals and populations.
