Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

Pharmaceutical Careers aims in the theoretical component provide the student the knowledge of the evolution of the career in pharmaceutical sciences and contribute to his training beginning with the awareness of the science and the pharmacy metier development, from antiquity to the present. Understand the history of the profession over time in different contexts, including in relation to other professions allied to medicine and health, with primary emphasis on the history of pharmacy profession in Portugal. The theoretical/ practical component aims the framework of the profession today and the different strands of the same exercise with testimonials from recognized professionals in various areas of intervention that will share with the students their experiences since the end of the academic training to present date. Thus the student will get an insight into the different roles and job areas where he can come to exert its activity in pharmaceutical sciences in the near future.
