Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

The primary objective of the curricular unit is to present the basic concepts of physiology, study the functions, regulation mechanisms and interactions of the system of the body.
In theoretical and practical part, students will be encouraged to apply the acquired knowledge, develop skills to solve problems. The various methods used to assess the human body will also be presented and discussed.

Students should be able to:

  • Know and understand the nomenclature used
  • Describe the functioning of the various organs and systems
  • Describe the mechanisms involved to maintain homeostasis
  • Understand the interactions between the various systems
  • Have critical thinking and reasoning ability that allows you to access more complex literature
