Students have become acquainted with principles of Anatomy, Occlusion and the (TMJ), healthy and desease condition.
General:
- To build a taste for research and scientific accuracy
- Knowledge on the following aspects of TMJ & Orofacial Pain:Nature and evolution of the concept
- Role of the Physician in the management
- Classification
- Clinical presentation of the different types of TMJ & Orofacial Pain
- Treatment basics, and the interdisciplinary approach
- Study habits, as well as accuracy and precision of technical and professional vocabulary
- Stimulate the student
Specific:
- To be able to define TMJ & Orofacial Pain
- Characterise the type of Pain and to understand whether or not it falls within his/her area of activity
- Make a differential diagnosis and use the appropriate patient approach
- Get the skills to treat acute and/or chronic TMJ & Orofacial Pain
- To get the necessary skills to integrate a multidisciplinary research team in the field of TMJ & Orofacial Pain
