Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
It is intended that students get to know different anesthetic techniques, different types of pain and the basic life support, integrating acquired knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology with clinical aspects that will be addressed over the theoretical and practical classes.
Syllabus:
- Definition and Rating. Neurotransmission of nociceptive pain. Referred pain and phantom pain.
- Pain as the 5th vital sign.
- Av pain:. Unidimensional and multidimensional scales.
- Pro. National for Pain Control.
- ASA degrees: evaluation of the physical condition.
- Tec. anesthetic: general anesthesia, loco-regional, local, combined.
- Pre, intra and post-operative.
- Premedication.
- Sedation: general concepts, specific physiological, specific Ramsey Scale.
- Drug administration (nitrous oxide, miadzolan and chloral hydrate). Antidotes.
- Local anesthetics: structure and classification, pharmacological properties. Contraindications and specific techniques. Selection factors.
- Vasoconstrictors: pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, complications and contraindications.
- Blockade of peripheral nerves oro-facial.
- Ladder Analgesics WHO: non-opioid analgesics, weak opioids and strong opioids.
- Monitoring: clinical and equipment, cardiovascular and respiratory.
