Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
General:
- Develop in students the spirit of research and scientific rigor.
- Provide the student the knowledge of: History and development of the dental prosthesis; Fundamental principles of materials for prosthetic purposes; Planning and construction of a removable partial denture.
- Develop in the student the habit of study, accuracy and precision in the use of proper technical and professional language.
- Stimulate curiosity and interest of the student, so that, with new ideas, will contribute to the development of Prosthodontics.
Specific:
- Demonstrate written, oral and practical in which acquired the basic knowledge to plan and prepare any Removable Prosthodontics.
Practical:
- The student must be able to identify and manipulate materials required for the execution of a RPD.
- Using machinery according to the rules of hygiene and safety practice specific to the discipline.
- Perform all procedures necessary for preparation and planning for a RPD and subsequent adjustments.
- Comply with the protocols and times given for each procedure demonstrated over the practical classes.
